We collect minimal personal data. Specifically, we collect your email address when you sign up or log in using a "Magic Link." We also collect local settings and preferences (such as stoke minimums) which are stored locally on your device. We sync this data to our cloud servers so that you can access it across devices.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your email address solely to authenticate your account and sync your favorite surf spots across devices. We do not use your email address for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties. We may use preference and training data to train AI models to better predict surf conditions.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Preference data (such as Stoke values) is stored locally on your device using local storage or AsyncStorage. Sync data is stored securely in our databases. We retain your email address as long as your account remains active.
